How does Colorado track uninsured motorists?

As in every other state, drivers and vehicle owners in Colorado are required to purchase and carry active automobile insurance when driving. The state outlines basic minimum levels of insurance that every driver must meet. Individuals are able to select insurance coverage beyond these minimums at their discretion. The reason for such a law is to protect you from unnecessary financial loss in the event of an automobile accident.

Impaired driver hits man, causes double amputation

The Fourth of July weekend is among one of the most celebrated holiday times in America. Colorado residents everywhere flock to cabins, campsites, trails, parties and other events to enjoy our nation's birthday. However, this same holiday weekend can be filled with tragedy as the surge in road traffic can also mean an increase in accidents. Some of these accidents can be caused by drivers who are operating vehicles while impaired by drugs or alcohol. One accident that happened in Boulder on the actual Fourth of July was one of these crashes.
