Every driver in Colorado knows that the risk of being involved in an automobile accident always exists. These accidents claim many lives, cause many injuries and result in serious damage to many vehicles and other property items every year. Keeping people safe by preventing accidents is the primary reason for laws like speed limits and other traffic regulations. Sadly, not every driver follows these laws.
The reasons that people choose to disregard traffic signals, speed limits, signs and other laws are varied. Sometimes the involvement of alcohol can contribute to poor choices and that is believed to have been a factor in an accident that killed one person, injured seven more and left multiple vehicles including a motorcycle damaged. Emergency responders had to rescue many of the injured from their vehicles. Some, including a child, required treatment at a hospital. The child had to be transported to the hospital by air.
The collision occurred at roughly 6:30 p.m. on the Saturday evening the week before the Labor Day weekend in Parker. A driver was reportedly travelling the wrong way on Parker Road. Exactly what happened is as of yet unknown as accident investigators indicated that much work will be needed to recreate the messy scene. The condition of each person injured is not known.
Victims of accidents like these can be left physically and emotionally damaged. They can also experience serious financial consequences of such crashes. Talking with an attorney after a wreck may provide insight into options for compensation.
